The Heart Hat – A Valentine’s Day Pattern

the completed Heart Hat!

Back in January, we asked our mindful-fam what kinds of patterns they’d like to see us share. There was a resounding plea for beanie/hat patterns! You ask, and you shall receive. Here is our first ever beanie pattern by mindfulknits. Bare with us 🙂 And if you end up making the hat, please do share your feedback!

Naturally, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, we thought it would be appropriate to make a heart-themed hat. After a few sketches, we came up with the design we wanted to bring to life. This pattern is for an adult size. If you would like modifications for a child size, let us know 🙂

Okay, let’s get started!

Materials:

  • 1 size 8, 5mm circular needle
    • Size 8, 5mm/16 inch circular needle (the same needle that comes in our Beginner Wash Cloth Knitting Kit)

    • 1 yarn needle
    • Scissors
    • 2 50-gram balls of mindfulknits 100% cotton yarn in contrasting colors – We used Simply White as Color A and Tulip as Color B
