Hi, there.

Welcome to the mindfulknits blog.

My name is Ruqaiya, the founder of mindfulknits.

I began knitting in 2013, in my freshman year of college (GO COOGS ? ). I was studying chemical engineering, I was stressed, and I found knitting to be an extremely effective form of stress relief. A couple years in, I tried my hand at crochet and loved it just as much.

My first ever knitted item: the infamous nipple hat. Was supposed to be a normal beanie…but it ended up looking like a nipple. To this day, my creations typically end up looking a little different than intended. And I am okay with that.

I created mindfulknits in 2018 to share the joys of knitting and crochet with you, and since then our team has grown to include even more people who are just as passionate about the positive health benefits of knitting.

With this blog, you will find:

  • Explanations and tutorials on creating items with mindfulknits yarn
  • Some things we have learned along our knitting and crochet journeys
  • Information about mindfulknits and our yarn
  • Exclusive content from our Chief Mindfulness Officer: my bunny, Juju
  • Other stuff

Enjoy mindfulknitting.

  1. Hi there!
I just purchased two bags of your (4pack -Tropical knit) off of Amazon. What a delight to receive these lovely packages of vibrant colors . I am a novist crocheter and during this current climate of a
Pandemic, it does provide me with a great deal of joy while I create.

    Thank You,
